Unknown 25mm projectile

Can anyone provide anyone information about the 25mm projectile shown in the picture.

25mm CTA

Could be for the 25 x 152 Philco Ford or the 25 x 155 GAU 7. There's loads of info about these CTA rounds in the book:
"Historical Development Summary of Automatic Cannon Caliber Ammunition: 20-30 Millimeter" by Dale Davies
Just put it into Google and download a free copy.

Note the groove around the base of the projectile, a plastic or paper washer fits into it, see photos below. They made ones with plastic and also copper bands.

Hi Hazord the aluminium tip does not unscrew but I have only tried by hand.
