Good Evening All,

Spotted this in an antique shop recently:

> Diameter appears to be approx. 75mm;
> length is approx 180-200mm; (Sorry no ruler)
> no identifiable markings;
> heavy /solid - AP;
> has the typical Tracer hole in base (APT);
> no marking on base;
> Tapered base as shown

Perhaps a long shot, however it may be recognizable by someone.

Thanks

Cheers
Drew

I'm not sure how accurate your dims are, but if it was 233mm long it would most likely be a U.S. M72.

If it was 76mm diameter it might possibly be a U.S. WWI Seacoast gun 3 inch M1915 projectile, but I will need to double check the length and boat tail design of that one. That older design did have the smaller rotating band though.

Thanks Hazord.

Yes unfortunately there was no ruler at hand -I'll measure it up on my next trip.............as the seller is asking close to $500, it should still be there!

Cheers

Once he gets it down to the $50.00-$75.00 range, then it will be approximately correct.
