Unknown Artillery Shell

I got this today by mistake . I assume it's some sort of drill round ? Case is 12" long & 2.1" internal mouth diameter & the wooden bullet is secured with 3 brass screws . The rim has a serrated edge . Any clues gratefully received . Thank you.

I reckon you have a 6pdr Hotchkiss DRILL rnd.
