Unknown Experimental “M67”

Bit of an oddity here. At a glance it looks like a standard M67 body but the fuze well is inverted to accommodate the unknown impact fuze. Fuze well seems to be from a standard M217 Impact but internally it’s mind boggling.
Well…the entire piece is mind boggling really. Someone suggested maybe a China Lake experimental impact. Thoughts? Posted next to a standard M67 for size comparison.
