Unknown F1 Pouch--Do you Know?

Hi, I have this odd what appears to be Russian F1/RG42 pouch. What time period do you think this pouch is? Could it be a pre-war item?? The buttons look like old style, and seem to be original to the pouch, but of course could have been changed sometime. They are a 2 piece, I think the front with star is aluminum, and the rear steel. Although they could be post war maybe? I know the Russians kept making the things the same for years after the war.
