Hi Joe,
You have a wonderful 10,5cm F.H.Gr Rot
It can have one steel driving band or two copper bands.

Thanks to Henry Belot for his superb documentation.

sorry, but as is has two copper bands it's a "10 cm Gr. 19" for the 10 cm Kanone 18. The F.H.Gr. Rot is for different guns and has only one copper band.

Something that confuses me. The documentation I have on the Gr. 19, the smoke charge is right under the fuze booster. This item has its smoke charge at the base. Is there a difference to where they placed the smoke charge and what projectile it is?

Belot's image shows it in the bottom of the round as well.

and the "R11" on AZ23-28's picture means "Rauchentwickler Nr.11" which identifies the type of the smoke charge. There were more than one possible types for this shell, maybe somebody knows them and can explain the differences, the modern ammunition it's not longer my special field...

Hello,
as Alpini says, there are more variants.
Please se pictures.
10cm Gr 19 - 1,41kg TNT pressed
10cm Gr 19 mit Sprengstoff (with explosive) 14 - 1,80 kg cast TNT
10cm Gr 19 mit Rauchentwickler 11 (with smoke generator 11) - 1,80 kg cast TNT

@Alpini WW2 = modern? Your stuff is prehistoric :)

Cheers, Bob
