Unknown Grenade Help please.

I have recently acquired this grenade.

It was thought to be a Belgian prototype from between the wars.

The body is heavy cast iron and it has a strange arrangement of a hook and lever coming from an aluminium top piece. There is no provision for holding a pin so it may be an early design 'mock up'.

Inside is a nicely shaped det holder which appears to be made of a lightweight nylon or plastic, which could place it later.

Any ideas?

Thanks

John

Interesting - thanks. So if the Belgian EOD have one there may be just 4!
