unknown igniter?

Had this a long while and have no real interest in it but apart from thinking it is an igniter of some sort because it has a firing pin, takes a cap of some sort and a short tube that could take a combustable material, I have not a clue what its for. There are no markings I can see on it. Overall length is just under 49mm. Anyone seen one before and can tell me what it would screw into please.

thats the igniter from inside the british bakelite trip flare. not sure of its correct nomenclature,

Thanks gentlemen, now all I need is a bakerlite trip flare or someone who has one missing the igniter.
