Unknown object luftwaffe

Hello all
I found this object at a former Luftwaffe ammunition depot. We are investigating this depot with a group of people. the goal is to eventually publish a book with the history of the depot. The object is made of aluminum and has the words open and closed on it. Also a marking IV (4). does anyone know what this is? it must be something like a part of a Luftwaffe bomb or something like that. Thanks in advance for your responses, greetings Dennis

This looks more probably the cover part of a portable "Bomb Hoist" - a loading crank for bombs - note the "zu" inscriptions on the side of the object, above a hole than can well be made for the axis of the handle of the crank.

Hello dreamk
Thanks for your reply.
This could be right, but have you any example of this ? So we can verify this because we have to put it in a book that we are writing, about the luftwaffe depot we are investigating.
Many thanks for your input
Greetings
Dennis

Hi
Member of our group found this online , some kind of locking mechanism. It looks very similar as the one I found (part of it)

It could well be it - an open/close bomb bay doors aparatus. But the reason if its pesence in a Luftwaffe ammunition depot is somehow puzzling as it is a mechanical part of a bomber aircraft rather than an "ammunition related" artifact.

Hello Dreamk
We are also surprised this was found on the depot . The depot is located about 1000 meter from the fliegerhorst.... maybe they kept spare parts as wel ?
Thanks for your reply
