Lately I have been finding quite a number of original photographs showing experimental bomb designs or models that saw lmited production and even operational service without being officialy adopted by the defense establishment of their country of origin.
This photograph is most puzzling - it was taken in Hawaii at the end of the 1930-s by a soldier of the 55th CA ('costal artillery" - in practice the AA units protecting the Pearl Harbor perimeter)
Can someone throw light on these bombs?

The bomb on the left is quite interesting as it shows a tail similar to the 1926 experimental model and a body similar to the USN bomb models of 1933:
