I picked this up a few years ago , ( Waffy your old one mate) as you can see it was heavily restored :tinysmile_cry_t: I decided to clean it yesterday,, turns out that the base has no petal and the thread will only fit a WW1 thread, seems as it was made this way from the factory, you can see a faint stamp on it,, it is not a date stamp but more makers code as early ones had a 3 digit code under the RR or other makers stamp. have a few here,, will dig them out for reference.

I can tell you that the seller said it was the last of a box acquired from France several years ago matey?
And what was that stinky green stuff inside?,i assumed it was fancy smelling wax?

Hi Paul.... yes wax with a strong perfume in it ,, bloody garage smells like the Spearmint Rhino club , will restore it at some point.
