There is a WP projectile M312 or T13E2 of the exact shape as an M42 with fuze PD M57, that was fired from the M26 straight case. They also loaded Navy 3 inch Star shells for the same gun. They were fired from the Super Sherman with 76mm gun.
You probably replied before I posted the photo. I had to fire up my scanner for the documents of the WP and the Illum from your other post. The projo will say M312 in yellow letters on a gray painted projo as shown in the drawing.
