US vs French WW1 V.B. rifle grenades

There was a thread on this some time back. I searched but could not locate the thread. what i'm after is how to tell the difference between a US and French made VB rifle grenade. I think it had something to do with the size ot the through hole in the center. If someone has the answer or could redirect me to the old VB thread it would most certainly be appreciated.........Dano

I know that a number of people have VB's marked GM, with the thought that GM stands for General Motors. I just checked "America's Munitions" and General Motors is not listed as a manufacturer of the VB.

Those listed are:
Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Co. Pittsburg
Briggs and Stratton Co. Milwaukee
Holcomb & Hoke, Indianapolis
Stewart Warner Speedometer Corp, Chicago
Cuttler-Hammer Manufacturing, Milwaukee
American Radiator, Buffalo
Link-Belt Co., Indianapolis
Doehler Die Castings Co. Brooklyn.
