W 83 Green Smoke Signal.

I ask which country made this W83 green smoke grenade/signal and was it made in other colour smoke?
Note the spelling INSTRUKTION. No maker name or production date. Aluminium body 44mm diam. 109mm total length with cap on.
Undo the cap and pull the string/igniter to use.
The body is shiny aluminium and not a shade of green as in photo.

No guarantee, but the Danes & Swedes (and maybe the Germans?) sometimes use a 'k' instead of a 'c' on their Anglicized wording for 'instruction' - so 'instruktion' appears on some international products.

Uni-Safe A/S, based in Denmark, supplies a rather large amount of civil sea-going safety material. Wescom Defence is one of their main suppliers for pyrotechnics.

There is(was?) a No.83 smoke grenade/signal series produced by Wescom Defence, a German based company. Some variants are typical grenade type with a pull ring and release lever, while some are lanyard initiated smoke generator/signal type, but I have not seen your particular model or any model using a 'W' in the model designation.

Are there any other marks at all? Just wondering if there are any warning or safety markings on it indicating it is a civil marine item..

No ID marks at all which makes it hard to find a maker or production date. Denmark will be OK with me as a smoke grenade. Thanks.
