What is it? Pistol grenade?

What is this, and how is gas seal achieved?

It was sold as a Czech M58 pistol grenade.
Case is 27 x 35R. Rim = 31.7mm diameter, case body 26.65mm. Alloy material.
Stamp on rep. primer is "SBP ***" which I believe is Czech and for Sellier & Bellot, Prague.

It is like a German rifled Z gun pistol grenade case, but has a larger rim and will not fit the flare pistol.

Any ideas? Thanks.
