What is left of the m1917 German eggs

What is left of the m1917 German eggs & discs

While building a Vietnam era collection, the paring down of extra WW1 grenades was eminent. The plan is to keep a "respectable" WW1 collection but some have/had been weeded out to make room and finances. My m1917 German Egg grenade collection which once numbered 16 are now down to what is in picture with three more up on the block. So I am by no means giving up my WW1 collection just converting to a two pronged offensive. On the eggs I will definately keep the one with the m1916 percussion igniter, the booby trap igniter, the smooth egg and one practice unit. I have similarly pared out other catagories such as the German WW1 discus grenades. As you can see my 2 baby defensive discus grenades will remain with me forever but I did sell 4 offensive models. My first baby discus took me 10 years to talk it out of a Canadian collector friend of mine. Space is at a premium and I am perfectly happy with the way it is going so far. Dealing on gun Broker I have made new friends and acquaintances and found a few swapping partners. It has been a ball but i am not cut out to be a businessman. It hurt a little to let a few of them go but in the process am ending up with a revamped collection and loving it........Dano
