Wooden P72

Hi all.

I obtained a 1946 dated wooden P72 MkI box. I have so far only found photos on another forum of someone having the same box, stencilled as 4.5 Mk 8, but I got the impression it's not original.
All I have been able to find, is the 4.5-in Mk 8 Naval gun, but that dates back to 1980s. The other bit I found is the 4.5-in Howitzer, but that apparently was decommissioned in 1944.

My guess is the P72 would have been used for something else. The interior suggests it held 2 shells or cartridges.

Does anyone have any information on the P72 ?
