What is the proper base fuze for the pointed base fuzed projectile ? The Hotchkiss MKlV fits but that is generally for the navy 3Pr round. What goes into the 40mm 2pr projectile ?

The projectile is a MKll

I don't collect 2 prs generally but I had the fuze so wondered. Does any one have some 2pr manual pages on the types of ammunition for ww1 ? I have no information at all on these.

I say "had" now, as it looks like Highland Otter gets to fill a cavity !

MKlV & MKV base fuze

The MKVl & MKV base fuze

The MKlV has the usual Hotchkiss firing pin embedded in a lead pellet, the MKV seems to be a Nordenfelt type of action.

Thank you Gordon,
I have the Hotchkiss type but have not seen a Nordenfelt type before, thanks for showing it.
Best Weasel.
