I picked this up today, not something I run across here.
In general what are these roughly worth, optics are clear.
Also these binoculars, I wonder if M C Tamplin RFA could be found in records.

The owner of the binoculars was Morgan James Tamplin. He signed up for the Canadian Expeditionary Force (Canadian Engineers) at Halifax on 19 July 1915. He transferred to the Royal Field Artillery with whom he was commissioned 17 February 1918. His service record can be downloaded here:
