WW1 German Practice Stick Grenade

I bought this at Beltring last year. I found it in a box of junk at the side of a Dutch dealers stall. Got it thinking it was a WW2 Volkssturm improvised practice grenade. Today, checking things out in Delhomme's book, found it to be a WW1 Practice. Rather pleased! - John

Thanks Keith. I don't think I've seen one in a museum either so there can't be too many around. I'll have a look in Gent this weekend.

Nice finde!It is wwI practic grenade.Im looking for one becouse polish soldiers was useing them after wwI.
 
I'm going to hang onto this for a while as WW1 stuff could double in price next year.
