WW2 German SD 0.5 bomblet grenade

definately not a "shaving stick" grenade they are thin walled (see attatched picture) other drawings show the 0.5kg bomblet
Thanks for pointing that out spotter, I took the "shaving stick" moniker from a web-site and obviously that was wrong. I have since amended my first post. Dano

Hey, No offense taken from anyone. Also no offense was meant to anyone. I like a little controversy and here we are. And Waff I meant no offense on the nuts comment, I just did not understand the meaning and was looking to clarify what was meant. I think it has made for a pretty good thread. Merry Christmas to all and happy new year.....Dano

No worries by me Dano,I just didnt like the way an earlier post had told engineer to 'keep it friendly'....
Anyway, its crimbo eve and i cant be bothered after the helluva day ive had at work..

Back to the item,im searching high and low for the relic example picture stashed in my computer! Might be a toughy to find so it will have to wait until after my trip away.

Greatly appreciated Waff, I just wish members that do have examples of this configuration of grenade would post their pictures. I am chomping at the bit with interest in this one, and any efforts made would be most excellent. Have a good holiday....Dano

There is a page here which contains (amongst other things) a relicy looking SD-1/2
http://www.millsgrenades.co.uk/germanbombs.htm

And here is the SD-1/2 used as grenade that I picked up at Beltring this year. No markings (except on the fuze).

Merry Xmas to all,

Tony.

Hello

Unfortunately I do not have any pics or drawings of this 0,5 kg bomblet, excepted the scan in "German Explosive Ordnance", posted by spotter.

Hello

I just see it : On the picture I send previously, we can suppose this is an ANZ29 fuze, but in the datasheet, it seems this is not the ANZ.
So, I suppose there is an error in the picture or, in the datasheet, I don't know.

Look, another picture for SD 0.5 Wee can see the bomb hit the ground on the fuze, so, I don't think it's ANZ 29.

Mo pics

I have seen all these posts with pictures, enough to convince me this is a good grenade (was pretty much convinced before). Thanks to all. I would just love to see more pics (esp relic ones) enough to call it a slam! Dano

Hello

I have this, baybe it's coming from here.

These are my examples, the one with the pull igniter was brought over 25 years ago, 100% genuine, the relic was purchased from Harold Grim when he was getting items from a German WW2 bomb range, this is as close i have ever got to seeing or finding the .5 Kg bomblet,,,,,,, Dave
