Hi Q,
Have you seen an HE version of these rounds, (or if anyone else does) In particular, I am interested in the type of fuze used.

Also, on the base of the case, I assume VZ.34 relates to koda vz 34 gun (per wiki ) does the M of M34 simply mean M=Model 1934 gun?

Rich

VZ (vzor) is Czech for model.

I think the HE shell used a A.Z. N34(t) fuse.

The 3.7cm pzgr 37 (t) is one of my favorite shells.
The reason is the amount of engineering design that was used to produce such a small projectile. The fuse and primer are fascinating in the number of small parts that can all be screwed apart and it is made with such precision.

You can see the base fuse and the primer pictures below.

Hi,

Hi Q,

Real name of this fuze is HO.
German nomenclature - A.Z 34(t)

And here my 3,7cm Sprgr Patr.34(t), with german WaA stamp's on projectile and fuze.
Not so nice like yours, but it was find underground, on battlefield from 1944r.

Best Regards.

There is also another AP shell for this gun. That is the standard German 3,7 cm Pzgr with additional cap. It is called 3,7 cm Pzgr (t) umg. (as shown on the picture at the right)

That is 2 very nice looking examples of the 3.7cm projectiles. There was also a Pzgr. 37 (t) L'spur projectile that had a base fuse with tracer. The fuse was called a Bd. Z. P.K.Z. 25(t).
Has anyone got an example in their collection?

The 3.7cm pzgr(t) umg just has the normal Bd. Z. 5103 base fuse and the case also had a different headstamp with a white stripe.

Hi,

(..)
The 3.7cm pzgr(t) umg just has the normal Bd. Z. 5103 base fuse.

Maybe I'm wrong, but Bd. Z. 5103 it's not a base fuze with tracer?
So what for used another type fuze for L'spur cartridge?
Or you write abaut base fuze (L'spur) czech orgin, in German nomenclature Bd. Z. P.K.Z. 25(t)?
I never hear before about this fuze. Does anybody have some information about this? Maybe from czech or german manual for this gun?

And another question; Who knows a real Czech name (no german nomenclature) for base fuze used in 3.7cm Pzgr.37 (t)
?
For example - real (Czech) name for A.Z 34(t) fuze is HO.
Real name for completely Czech
cartridge and projectile it's also very interesting. Anybody know something about this?
German nomenclature it's more popular, but don't forget- this is original Czech design, and good to know a real nomenclature.

And some pics;
First on left are
interesting; different driving band ( projectile was fired, but anyway driving band are different ).
All was find on ww2 Battlefields, thats why contition it's... low.
And some Czech base fuze detail.

Best regards, and sorry for my bad English.
