Czech/German VZ 34 rounds.

Mariusz:
Your English is perfect and your items too, no matter they are relics.
These rounds are rare and always nice to see them, relic or not. :tinysmile_shy_t:

Hi,
If so, here another Czech 3,7cm relic; in really bad condition.
Was find in Poland (ww2 German ammunition depot area) with a lot similar projectile like this one.
We find more than twenty of this kind of 37mm projectile's.
This one, is of course already empty and safe - rest of them take army EOD for destroy. I never can't find time for restoration this one projectie ...maybe its doesnt worth?

And only for explanation;
We are not regular EOD. But Army, and Civil EOD many times (after short training) used our help because we have a lot experience in metal detecting and ordnance identification.

Best regards.

Maybe I'm wrong, but Bd. Z. 5103 it's not a base fuze with tracer?
So what for used another type fuze for L'spur cartridge?
Or you write abaut base fuze (L'spur) czech orgin, in German nomenclature Bd. Z. P.K.Z. 25(t)?
I never hear before about this fuze. Does anybody have some information about this? Maybe from czech or german manual for this gun?

The Bd. Z. 5103 is the common base fuse used by all the german Pak and KwK 3.7cm 5cm and 7.5cm AP projectiles. It had a tracer element screwed in.

I have attached some data from the Merkblatt on the 3.7cm Pak(t) ammo. Unfortunately I have no original Czech info on these items.
If anyone else knows any of the Czech names please post them.

Hi,

So we have three kind of projectiles;

3,7cm Pzgr.(t) umg (German made projectile)
use a standard German Bd.Z. 5103 base fuze with tracer.

3,7cm Pzgr. 34(t) (Czech made projectile) used a Czech base fuze - without tracer, in German nomenclature - Bd.Z.P.34(t). Oryginal Czech name for this fuze is N.16

3,7 cm Pzgr.34(t) L'spur
(Czech made projectile) use a Czech base fuze with tracer,
in German nomenclature - Bd.Z. PKZ.25 (t).

Everything it's in Karl.L.Pavlas; Munition Lexikon.

Best Regards.

Hi Ben, Miguel
I was lucky enough to pick up these two rounds recently, both in excellent condition, the HE round even has red markings remaining.

HE round, fuze, projectile, case and primer are all marked 1938.
AP round projectile, case and primer are all marked 1940 and also has WaA stamp.

I've never understood why the case headstamps always seem to be sooo clear on vz34 rounds.., anyway, here are the pictures....

Hi:
Very nice rounds, one German manufacture and the other Czech. And yes, these cases have the markings very clear, what it is very nice.

Hi Waffy,
Yes the fuze is in excellent shape, all brazed/soldered up, the same condition as miguel's.
Per the picture below, its missing item 8 thankfully (This is the booster?/gaine?, right?) as I can see the end of the pin in the drawing.
Ill post a pictureof it later today..

However, lovely item, and has the same grub screw to fix the fuze in place that Miguel referred to earlier.

So how many variants of this round did we decide there were.

Any others?
