It's OK for the 76.2x558R case to have arrowhead

In an article by Leslie Thurston in "The Armourer" (issue # 180 March-April 2007 page 65) he illustrates a round for the M1931 / M1938 AA gun equipped with an arrowhead projectile. Apparently just about all Russian guns had to have an anti-tank capability...

Thanks Charley777 I knew I'd seen a picture of one somewhere.
Its a small world, my round came from Les Thurston in the first place.
Dave.

Hi,

Russian 76 mm x 558R AA-gun used type of 361 shells:O-361, O-361D, O-361K, BR-361, BR-361SP, Sh-361, Sh-361A.

I have a few cases marked UO-361 and one complete Sh round.

well... I don'see any arrowhead on this list...

In fact, I still have some doubts about this. Russians stopped production of 76 mm AA guns in 1940; instead of this they run 85 mm AA. And AFAIK large number (or most) of 76 mm AA were lost in the first weeks of war in 1941. The "arrowheads" HVAPs were first designed in 1942-43, when 76 mm AAs were very rare. It's possible of course that Russians could designed HVAPs also for these guns; but it could be very very rare, experimental ammo.
