HONOURED MEMBER RIP
A quick squizz at the book says that the filling is 0.225kg?? (plus a gaine pot too i guess?)
Just do the math against an empty charge and the fuze then 'Presto!' i would have thought?

Paul you are correct with the wieght of filling ( I also have 7.5 - 8oz imperial, stated in manuals)
Trouble is the content was negligable in the SD2 the total weight is 2.2kg. That is the weight of a complete filled SD2. The trouble is there are too many variables to trust the wieghing method - not one to be trusted in my opinion. Though I realise Phil is trying to help here.
Dan, you have an incomplete set of wings, no complete arming rod and not sure what lies underneath the fuze. The weights given for a complete unit, are just that, wings, rod, gaine - everything (unless anyone knows different)
The weights are just too small in the case of an SD2 (don't let heart rule head!!!)
My advice - get confirmation with the seller - if he won't commit an answer then take the safe route. There are other SD2 bodies out there for sure. Lifes short enough.
I would also like to advise anyone to make sure components fully strip before commiting to buy- if the buyer won't show pics of dis-assembled item - stay well away!!
I hope all turns out well.
kind regards
