0.5" Vent Tube Testers.

I found these two items c.2000 when MF/AFF factory gauges and items were sold off.
They seem to be test vent tube 0.5" holders and I wondered how they were used. Fits a normal 25Pr case thread but obviously for Navy use.
They are 66mm long with a 35.5mm rim. I show two 0.5" vent tubes as well.

R^L V arrow 12 S (for 15 &16"Navy strikerless locks with proud contact).
X /41 STC electric vent tube. Both are 56mm long (57mm with the proud primer).

Who is STC. WEB. and J ?
Do these steel adaptors fit some brass case or test device. All information is welcome.

I have this info on a testing apparatus but I don't think your adapter is used with this

Thanks for this info. My steel testers are interesting items. May be item you show but not sure. I imagined them being inserted into a cut-down case or a machine
and you have supplied an example from manuals.

Is the "J" stamped into the base of the right hand item of pic 4 of 5, item 244 m. Vents J, (for .4-in tubes) in Kiwieods pic 1 of 4?

You lost me a bit , but a .4" vent does not fit these test items. They only fit a 0.5" vent tube. I thought that the J was maybe a maker ID ?
I have no information on my items but thanks for your interest. Ron.

No. Only the .5" Vent tube will fit this steel tester. I showed examples of these vent tubes. Thanks for the comment. Ron.
