1.5 inch flare case.

Hello again i picked this up today but im not sure if ive been sold a kipper. I picked it up thinking it was a 1.5" flare case it has no markings on but im ok with that. On getting it home and looking at it the base looks to be made of copper and the rest brass. The wall thickness appears to be very thick as well, it just does not feel right. Ive tried searching but cannot find any pictures of one like it. It is 1.5" diameter and 4.5" tall anyone any ideas. Cheers Mick.

I'm no expert but I thought the tube part of the flares were made of cardboard, I may of course be wrong. The base looks right, but the thick brass part like you I think is wrong. Interested what others have to say. Sorry I cant help more.

Thanks for that Kev the more i look at it the more im convinced someones stuck a brass tube into the base. Cheers Mick.

Could it be a Punt Gun Case, i have seen many variations most were home made,,,,,, Dave
