1 inch aiming rifle

I forgot to say that the last time the aiming rifle appeared in Land Service technical publications was in 1955 and gone by 1957.

The reworked case is 1 sixteenth of an inch shorter than the others.

Hey everyone. We've just found a number of these projectiles at Gar Petawawa, during a range sweep.

Can anyone post a photo of the actual aiming rifles and does anyone have a list of the main guns that these would be attached too?

Thanks guys.

Recently bought an unknown item that unfortunately turned out te be a cut down 1" aiming rifle case. But I still show it here, because it has a very early head stamp.

Reads R [broad arrow] L, II and dated 1882.
