My family fought on both Western and Eastern Fronts. Here are distant relatives from the Eastern Front. Picture #1, probably 1914. Picture #2, probably 1916. The man in the upper left corner of 1914 picture, Vladimir Timothy Golyakhovsky, was killed by his own troops. His widow dressed in white is holding a baby in the front row of picture #2. The old man with a beard in the 2nd row of 1916 picture is Timofei Lvovich Golyakhovsky, the father of most men in the picture, is wearing his military uniform in support of troops, he is too old to serve. The 1916 picture is a reconstitution attempt for a whole family photo, minus one brother already killed. Most of the people in the picture perished soon after.
