105 / 28 What? Please assist.

Found this case, but cant seem to find any easy reference to it.

Diameter at case mouth: 98 mm (which makes me think it may be cut down)

Case length : 135 mm

Diameter of base : 122 mm

Head stamp: 936 (date?) 105/28 2 UTC LT 11


I am assuming it is Italian 105 mm Howitzer with a barrel length of (105 x 28) made in 1936.

You are correct. It is the Italian field gun 105/28 and case length is listed as 136mm so not cut down.
