105 mm APFSDS - T Projectile with sectioned case

The 105 mm APFSDS round is used in the SANDF' s Olifant (Elephant) Main Battle Tank.




As well as the Rooikat - 105 Armoured Fighting Vehicle. The Rooikat is also fitted with the 76 mm gun as an alternative.



The manufacture of this projectile is unknown to me.

PS: The projectile looks a lot like the Israeli M111 which I know is made in Israel and sometimes licensed to be manufactured by other countries. Does the dart spin inside the sabot assembly?

Very possible. We see a lot of Israeli ammuntition in South Africa.

Yes the dart can spin.
