105mm Howitzer Coiled Case

I fired a few of these in the 70s, but most of the cases we saw were drawn steel or brass. This is just like the old coiled Hotchkiss cases. These worked very well, when unfired the seems are tight, after firing they expand maybe a 16th of an inch to seal. Stamped markings that don't show in the image are; 105MM M14B4 and KX084C003-001
