From: TM 9-1300-203, Artillery Ammunition, 1967. These pages are near the middle of the TM so a bit of a pain to get good pictures, had to split one diagram into 2 photos but all the info is there.
It looks like you are missing the fuze adapter and the fuze. You have a real round, except that the service rounds don't have the white warning material inked onto the ogive. The fuze will have finer threads on it, so that it can't be mistakenly used on regular artillery projectiles. The fuze will have a push button on the side, to allow the time delay to be set to the range that you want the projectile to open up at. APERS fuzes are marked in range in meter, not time.
Thank you for the information. I thought is was missing something. It is smooth inside at the tip. It is made out of aluminum and has a small torch cut to inert the tracer. Now I need to fine the fuze ring adapter and a fuze. It is dated 1968 XM595 . Larry.
Nice round Subs. Now I need to find the adapter and a fuze. Jvollenberg I will try to get a picture of that. Thank you both. Larry. Well that's not it. I well try again.
