Enclosed are pictures of a hard to find German made 10cm shell. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the V Wdf 16 with symbol are Austrian markings. I think the symbol is an Austrian Eagle.

Very nice find, I have not seen one before. As you stated, German manufacture with Austro-Hungarian markings and primer.
 
Enclosed are pictures of a M1910 with Austrian proof marks and with Police unit mark above the trigger. So far their are only two M1910's reported with Police unit marks the other one has Nr 213. Note the double headed Eagle I once had a Austrian Naval sword that had this Eagle on the cross guard.
