122mm MTHEL test target

This projectile was recovered after a test of the MTHEL.

I believe this is a 122mm Russian projectile and hope to get a definitive answer on that thru this thread. It miked out at a little over 121mm at the base, which is somewhat distorted. Maybe it's a 120mm.

Note the intact, prefragmented inner frag sleeve. A low order det, I suppose. The fuze is solid alloy.

Im many cases, the Russians and friends use service warheads for practice, which is no different from the U.S. using inert loaded service projectiles for practice. It does look like a 122mm rocket warhead.
