12pdr 12cwt drill

I recently managed to buy this, I'm collecting it in the week. I have seen this type of drill shell in images before but not in the flesh. Searching the net shows nothing. Does anyone else have one or any info please? Atb Tig.

I never got any info on this, so here's more pics. On picking the shell up the guy offered me another exactly the same, I got the 2" plugs undone, they were secured with a hex grub screw. I was hoping someone may have left a note under, but no such luck, They are solid steel other than the plug and jacket. I am going to mildly clean them up and re stitch the jackets on. Any info?? You need to find the manual on the gun and the Navy part of the Priced Vocabulary of stores, I don't think these will be in the Army
book on this site. The RN museum must have one, but no use asking for help they are Useless - You would have to go there I think
to find out anything.

Hello Tig,
I have a transit plug, which has the same type of stamps like your transit plug, but has FIRING stamped on it.
Would this type of transit plug also be used for a 12pdr 12cwt projectile?
Any idea what the stamp J. H. R. means?
