Hello

Similar thread with 18 Pr, find here a 13 Pdr shell, and few questions :

Is there a lot of difference between Marks of 18 pdr or 13 pdr (in other words, are these importants changes betweew 18 Pdr MK I and 18 pdr MK X, by example ?)

What fuzes can be used on this shell ? Is there an array with common UK shell and their fuzes ?

Hi
Vast field is the study of the projectiles of 13 Pr
For example I've seen for this time 7 Mk for 13Pr Shrapnel shells and 7 Mk for HE shells
the Mk II for example have a groove under the driving band like 18 Pr Mk I & II
So the case is the Mk I
So there is a Mk II case for the other Mk
It's also difficult to say if it's 3 in or 13 Pr shell
the driving band are different
Other example, Shrapnel shell 3 in, 20 & 5 cwt, 12 & 13 Pr can be used in the same gun with an other Mk of case
It is a long study which I am making and I do not see the end of it
So I can say for your shell that N 85 can used on
For He it's the same thing like 18 Pr HE for Mk I
Don't forget that 13 Pr and 3 in were also used for AA gun
To long to explain all type and used here

Hello Doctor

Thank you for these informations (but by the way, I'm now completly demoralized )
