Can anyone tell me more about this headstamp please. I can't find any reference to it in the books.

Thanks.

Dave.

Yes you've guessed it, all INERT and safe etc.
Note the driving band on this one too, not the normal type.
Dave.

Guys you've gone all quiet on me with this one. Has anyone got a decent German list they can ID this one from please?
Dave.

Hi Dave,
The only reference to CA i can find is;

Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke (formerly Westfaelisches Nickelwalzwerk Fleitmann, Witte u. Co.), Schwerte, Ruhr

Hope that is of some use,
Best regards Weasel.

Sorry Dave... I only found as much as Weasel :tinysmile_cry_t3:

Still looking though... I can add that the "40" at the 6 o'clock is probably the year 1940 :xd:

Hey Dave,

Of no help on the headstamp, the drivingband however is usually associated with 15 mm experimental types, though some production rounds may have employed them as well.

greetz,

Menno.
