Trench Mortar ?

I am wondering whether it is in fact for an Artillery weapon as the driving band has no "ribs" with which to grip the shell body !

Could it be for a heavy trench Mortar which had a pre rifled band in soft metal swaged onto the body which would not be so spin critical ??????

Hi,

OK, all "Premium members" from best BOCN ;)

I find a answer on wk2ammo;

Czechoslovakian 15cm Minen projectile vz.13/9 ,made in ŠZ Plzeń factory in 1920.
Base fuze type M.9 Krupp modernized after 1919 in the same factory - ŠZ PLZEŃ.
Projectile used in 15 cm Howitzer M/15 (Czech; 15 cm hruba houfnice vz.15).

Thanks anyway ;)
