Got this picture from a Navy EOD colleague that I did some training with a couple of years ago. I don't remember if I've previously shared or not but I just ran across it while digging out some other info. Recovery & relocation for destruction. Thought maybe others would enjoy it as much as I did.

Isn't it easier (and less expensive and also safer) to demolish it in situ? Unless it was inside a port or a naval base with all sort of under water installations.

I believe that it was environmental issues. This is becoming a significant issue with some of our Pacific regions.
