Does anyone have or know where there is a British 16" shell, located in the uk.

Not 100% sure but you could try Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson (not necessarily on display but maybe as part of their collection) or IWM London. I'm sure others will jump in and advise you.

The best display of big naval ammo I've seen is at the Explosion museum in Gosport. I don't recall offhand whether they have a 16 inch, but I think they're more likely to than anyone else. Well worth a visit: http://www.explosion.org.uk/
