Hi Chaps,

Here is one for you lads.I found it at a car boot sale today,there was another but it has been `trench-arted` so i didnt bother buying it.
Some interesting markings on this one though.I would also like to know how to remove this brass plug thats been braized where the primer sits?

Hi Waff, nice case it looks as if its been soldered in so you will have to heat it up to remove it.

Nice case, made by the Elswick Ordnance Company in Newcastle (what the intertwined "EOC" stands for) in 1916. Somebody probably has a primer to fit it if the threads are intact once the plug is removed. How much did you pay for it? I got a 1940 25 Pounder at a car boot yesterday.

I find some good stuff at car boot sales, I got all this yesterday in one day:

1940 25 Pounder case
84mm Carl Gustav TP-T round (INERT!)
1942 2 Pounder case
2x 2 Pounder unfinished cases
1942 .50 Vickers Incendiary case (nice find)
1943 American 20mm Oerlikon Drill round
About 10 rounds of nice small arms ammo

As I with that big German case I got on the train with all that in my bag. The copper would have had a heart attack if I'd have been searched.
