Hello all, whilst attending the Sea cadet unit on Tuesday, I was ushered to the back of the carpark by Police. The Logistics Bomb disposal team were there. They had recovered an artillery shell from a nearby building site in Ashford, and had taken it to the Lamas Park in Staines to carry out a controlled explosion.
Was anyone on here involved?
One of the Police Officers said it was a 180mm artillery round, but I couldn't get to the EOD lot to confirm.
A nice bang anyway!
