18pr cartridge German markings

I Picked this up at the weekend, but cant do a picture at the moment. It is a Canadian made 18pr cartridge made in 1917, but printed on the outside it has

84K/18

Vo 590

VRT 131/41

1015

RAL/42

I got really excited, thinking I had found a cart reloaded in 1941 until it was pointed out that the markings were German!

Can anyone shed any light on the markings and what they mean ?

The primer is missing but it looks to have been staked at 3 equally distanced points, is that something the Germans may have done??

Cheers

Thanks Alpini, I don't suppose you know which round was painted orange? the case has traces of orange paint around the inside of the neck.IMG_20140909_152928[1].jpg
The chap I bought it off told me it was German, which seemed feasible at the time....
