Hi,
My last question for today!
Can anyone positively identify this shrapnel shell?
I know I bought it in Hungary about 10 years ago, so I've always assumed it is either Austro-Hungarian or Italian.
It measures approximately 7.5cm in diameter and is approximately 19.5cm long.
The markings on the base are: ENZ 1917 43
Thanks in anticipation!
Gary

It's a austro-hungarian 7,5 cm M.15 G-Schrapnell for the 7,5 cm M.15 Skoda mountain gun. Made in the state arsenal of Enzesfeld.
