1942/44 Dated White Painted 2 Pounder AP Shot for Antitank Gun - What is it?

I got this out of Canada. At first, I thought it had been repainted, but the markings look original to me now. This paint scheme does not match the standard WWII British pattern of black body with white head for AP shot and red band for tracer. What did I find? Is this a Canadian paint scheme? 1942 date on the driving band but 1944 date painted in red. Thank you for your help.

For instructional use , I have seen others. Likely used in a class room and so on. Same for grenades, dummy's for drill, instruction and tossing about etc.
Any projectile could be treated this way. Shown 6pr 6Cwt example.
