2.36 PRACTICE Rocket

Just finished doing a 2.36 practice rocket,Its been a long term project for bocn member BigDave
He brought me the thing in terrible condition with "dont worry too much if you cant do owt with it"
Slick one of our longtime US members provided the much needed tail "Thank you very much Rick"
Started off spending hours removing what was left of the original tail,Then it was on to metal hammering to take a big ding out of the body and reshape the fragile nose cone.
Having got the shape near enough it was a case of lots of filling,sanding,reinforcing,more filler and more sanding
With the new tail fitted and a repaint and stencils i dont think the end result is too bad considering the junker it was originally

Damn Allen, considering what you started with, that is pretty amazing!
 
That is truly amazing. Good on you for saving it, I know lots of people who would have considered it trash and thrown it away. Looks great!
