2 pdr 6 pdr 75mm

Hi,

The 75MM is stamped A3 X / Lot 0158_5 1942 75MM M64

The 2 PDR's don't have any stamps.

The 6 PDR is stamped AP 6PR 7CWT BS III T JMB 4/42

JMB = Jos Mackie & Sons Ltd of Manchester

The rifling bands are missing on all these inert projectiles.

My question is . . . . do the different patterns under the missing rifling of the 4 projectiles help to indicate what countries they came from ?

In a word - Yes the [patterns are a general indication of the country of origen.
Not conclusive but generally pretty good.
You have one British produced 2 Pounder in your pictures and it is the right hand one of the two.
The 75mm Looks to be American in manufacture and I am not very sure about the 57mm but would lean towards Belgium manufacture on that one?

Also stamped on the 75MM projectile is a pair of crossed cannons and the letter C with 3 vertical lines and 1 horizontal line stamped through it.

All projectiles found on old WW2 training sites.
