2 Pdr AP Projectile Identification

I just added the projectile in the foreground to my collection, but I cannot identify it. I have looked at all the 2 pdr posts on this site, but none of the photos matches the first projectile. It has a cap that I am rather sure is not made of sheet metal, so it must be a piercing cap and not a ballistic cap. It has no markings at all which is also rather odd for a British 2 pdr shot. What do I have here? Is it an APCBC without the ballistic cap? The second projectile is a repainted standard AP tracer shot that I was able to find in the US on evilbay.

I'm inclined to think the ballistic cap is missing hence the groove below the cap - but there are many others
more informed than I am on this who will hopefully clear this up.
