Can anybody helpme on a drawing concerning the powdercharge in the shellcase of a British 2 pounder APHE-T, clearly stating the type and shape of powder and the way it is packed in the shellcase?
Thanks in advance,
Regards, DJH

Did the British use APHE? Generally we avoided them due to the problems associated with them.
Edit:
Hang on, do you mean the anti-concrete shells we tried out? If memory serves they were APHE style. Not sure we ever tried a 2-pounder version though.
Hi DJH,
The official designation for this round is as i learnt in the linked thread below many years ago is " Shell, Q.F., Armour-Piercing, 2-PR., Mark I " as the British did not use the term APHE.
Sorry that is all i can add to this thread, but it may help narrow down the search. Best Weasel
Thank you very much for the info, this is exactly what I am looking for.
Now only one question remains. what is Powder WT 144-048. Does is mean the powdersticks are 0.144 inch in dia with a 0,048inch hole through? So 3,65mm in dia with a 1,2 mm dia hole through.
Further to what ‘tankbarrel’ posted. If there are 2 digits for the diameter/dimension of the cord or propellant grain, then divide by 100 to get the diameter in inches. If there are 3 digits then divide by 1,000.
So W. T. 144-048 means:
W = 'Cordite W' = a type of solvent process-produced cordite that uses the stabiliser and gelatiniser carbamite (symmetrical diethyldiphenyl urea) & not mineral jelly, formerly known as R.D.H./A., the W is in reference to Waltham Abbey where is was developed;
T = Tubular cord;
144 = external diameter in inches divided by 1,000 = 0.144”(3.66 mm);
048 = internal diameter in inches divided by 1,000 = 0.048” (1.22 mm).
You may also see propellant referred to by a 'Size xx' or 'Size xxx'. As before divide by 100 or 1,000 depending on the number of digits.
For example Size 12, and Size 320. For the former its external diameter is 0.12" and for the latter 0.32".
